Warranty & Guarantee Terms for Aluminum Frame Sliding Doors and Glass Hinge Doors.

1. Introduction

At Nova Interior Studio Ltd., we are committed to supplying high-quality aluminium frame sliding doors and glass hinge doors to our customers. Our products are warranted under the following terms, in accordance with New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA).

2. Warranty Period

We provide a 2 years warranty from the date of delivery for the aluminium frames and glass components of our doors. This warranty applies to defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions.

3. Coverage

This warranty covers:

  • Structural defects in aluminium framing, such as warping or breakage under normal usage.
  • Manufacturing defects in the glass panels, such as stress fractures or incorrect fitting.
  • Proper functionality of sliding mechanisms and hinge systems under normal wear and tear.

4. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by improper handling, installation, or maintenance not carried out in accordance with our guidelines.
  • Glass breakage or damage caused during transit (as noted, no freight company in NZ covers glass product insurance).
  • General wear and tear, cosmetic issues, or damage caused by environmental factors such as storms, earthquakes, or exposure to corrosive substances.
  • Modifications or repairs performed by unauthorized personnel.
  • Damage resulting from misuse or failure to comply with installation instructions provided.

5. Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) & Fair Trading Act (FTA)

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA), customers are entitled to expect products that are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match the descriptions provided.

If any of these guarantees are breached, customers have the right to repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the nature of the fault.

Under the Fair Trading Act (FTA), we ensure that our advertising and communication are not misleading or deceptive. Any claims made about the performance or characteristics of our products are true and accurate.

6. Claims Procedure

To make a warranty claim, customers must notify Nova Interior Studio Ltd. within 30 days of discovering the defect. Proof of purchase and evidence of the defect (e.g., photos) must be provided.

7. Remedies

Upon receiving a valid warranty claim, Nova Interior Studio Ltd. will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the defective product.
  • Replace the product with an identical or similar item.
  • Provide a refund if repair or replacement is not feasible.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nova Interior Studio Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the products supplied. This includes any losses or damages arising from business interruption, loss of revenue, or inconvenience.

9. Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
